The DREIKA - Technology uses a mathematical logarithmic spiral as a surfaceprofile. The interface with this technology provides a self locking system, with surface pressure.Furthermore between the self locking wedges there is a homogenous surface pressure thatproduces a powerful transmission of tightening and loosing torques - transmission in bothdirections.
Connection with a steering system
One of the best advantages is an independent ratio of tightening torque andpreload. In this application it was necessary to preload precisely with low axialforces a plastic slide bearing and to have maximum loosing torques. This systemwas the only solution for this technical requirement. This system has been approved for the new S-Class of DaimlerChrysler.

Fastening connections
The free axial position is usable by a fastening process to preload a valve springwith exact defined forces. Results of rising tightening torques haven´t any effecton the axial load of the spring. The use of safety parts such as locking washers or adhesive is not necessary. This DREIKA System has been approved for Audi, Passat and Golf.

- With the easy fastening process, there is no additional screwing for positioningof the lock.
- The connection is done by turning of the hand.
