The European unification convention claims a unitary standard.

The uncertainty among consumers as well as producers has lead to the fact that at the time being goods are ordered and produced predominantly according to invalid standards and only partially according to new standards.

This table has been set up to conduce as a comparison of national, international and European standards of fasteners.

Herewith the most common standards of established fasteners have been compared.
